Southaven Park in Winter

One of my NYDDS Areas

Ebony  Jewel Wing (Calopteryx maculata) stream off of the main pond. I always find them here in the spring.

The Ebony Jewel Wing larvae are in there somewhere!

One of my surveying spots. The pond is completely covered with snow and ice. Can't wait for spring!

  1. What stunning photographs - and such an interesting occupation!
I didn't know there was such a thing as a dragonfly surveyor.
